Fortunately, the professionals quickly took over and joined forces to get started. Floor by floor, they worked their way up, and the view became more and more spectacular. Concrete and iron dominated the first stages of construction. In November, beautiful glued laminated timber beams completed the shell. Just under six months after breaking ground, we celebrated the next milestone with a topping-out ceremony. The celebrations focused on the craftsmen, without whose dedication and commitment the vision could never have become reality.
A big thank you goes to the great team at HS-Bau Mühlacker, who almost became part of SPINNER automation during the construction phase. Quote from a construction worker: ‘Best construction site ever!’
At the topping-out ceremony, all colleagues finally had the opportunity to take part in site tours and gain an insight into the workplaces of the future. The first places have already been reserved with towels.
So far, we have been able to rely fully on our general contractor MÖRK and are on schedule.
The further schedule is roughly as follows:
June 2025 > Completion
July 2025 > Handover to SPINNER automation
August 2025 > Move into the new premises
October 2025 > Grand opening and inauguration
FIGURES, DATA, FACTS:
> Around 1,800 m3 of earth had to be moved for the foundation.
> Since then, approx. 800 m3 of concrete has been used.
> Around 85 tonnes of steel have been cast as reinforcement.
> The supporting structure consists of around 70 m3 of wood.
The expansion supports SPINNER automation on its path to the future. We have developed rapidly in recent years. Projects are becoming larger and more complex, new products have been added with the ROBOBOX, and software development is becoming increasingly important. It was therefore time for our premises to grow with us and create space for new innovations.
