‘It was never just about creating more space,’ said Managing Director Dominik Jauch. ‘The new building reflects our philosophy: development and production are not separate worlds, but work hand in hand. Customers can experience us directly – down-to-earth and authentic.’
From idea to space for new things
The decision to build the new building was made in 2023. The background to this was the growing need for space in the hall and offices, as well as the necessity to create new working structures. Implementation began in 2024 with the general contractor MÖRK: ground-breaking in April, topping-out ceremony in November, move-in in September 2025 – all on schedule.
‘A construction project never runs completely smoothly,’ says Managing Director Jörn Maier. ‘But we found solutions together – that's exactly our style: get stuck in, stick with it, keep going.’
Facts and figures:
- 1,800 m³ of earth moved
- 800 m³ of concrete and 85 tonnes of steel used
- Supporting structure made of 70 m³ of glued laminated timber beams
- Completion: August 2025
- Move-in: September 2025
Inauguration: October 2025
More than just a building
The new building is bright, open and functional – not show architecture, but a place that lives and breathes. Customers find their contact person right at the entrance, while open areas show how development, assembly and project teams work together. New meeting rooms, quiet zones and a creative zone in the hall encourage exchange and ideas.
Special focus was also placed on sustainability and efficient working: the new building meets modern energy standards and supports future-oriented work processes.
Inauguration with heart and barbecue aroma
The official inauguration took place on 25 October 2025 as part of an open day. Employees, families, friends and neighbours took the opportunity to discover the new premises. Guided tours, music and a barbecue buffet were offered.
Among the guests was Mr Hübner, Mayor of Markgröningen, who praised the new building as an important stimulus for the business location.
‘We didn't want the biggest building, but the right one,’ emphasised Dominik Jauch. "A building that suits us – what we do and how we do it. We have succeeded in doing that."
A symbol of further development
With its new building, SPINNER automation has positioned itself for the future. Projects are becoming increasingly complex, software development is continuing to gain in importance – and with the ROBOBOX, the company has established a strong product.
‘Our new building is more than just a building – it is a symbol of new beginnings, further development and the future. We are ready for the next level,’ says Dominik Jauch.
